About Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanuman Temple, Salangpur
The name Kashtbhanjan comes from Sanskrit — kashta meaning suffering and bhanjan meaning destroyer. The idol was consecrated by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami in 1845, and it has been a centre of faith and pilgrimage for nearly 180 years.
The temple is affiliated with the Vadtal Gadi of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. Its magnificent shikhar (spire) rises over 75 feet, built from Rajasthan pink sandstone and Makrana white marble — visible from several kilometres away as you approach the village.
The Hanuman idol itself is carved from black stone (Shilapatthar), standing roughly 6.5 feet tall, depicting Hanuman with Shani Dev under his foot — a powerful representation of the destroyer of sorrows.
