Palitana — home to the sacred Shatrunjaya Hills and over 800 Jain temples — is just 55 km south of Bhavnagar. It's the closest major pilgrimage from our home city, and one of the most spiritually significant Jain sites in the world. The climb to the top of the hills (3,800+ steps) is usually done before sunrise, which means most travellers want a 4 AM or 5 AM departure from Bhavnagar.
Rohan Cabs runs the Bhavnagar to Palitana cab every single day of the year. We've done countless 4 AM pickups — the driver arrives 10 minutes early, the car is sparkling, and you reach the base of the hills by 5:30 AM in time for the climb. The drive back, after darshan, is usually around noon.
For a couple or solo pilgrim, the Hyundai Aura (₹1,500) is perfect. For a family group, the Ertiga (₹2,200) gives everyone room to recline on the way back. The Innova Crysta (₹3,300) is the premium choice for senior parents or larger groups who want maximum comfort.

For the morning ascent, leave Bhavnagar between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM. The drive takes ~1 hour 15 minutes, putting you at the base of the Shatrunjaya Hills by 5:15–6:15 AM. The climb itself takes 2–3 hours up and 1.5–2 hours down. Most pilgrims complete the round trip in 6–7 hours total.
Yes. Standard same-day round-trip bookings include the driver waiting at the base of the hills for the duration of your climb and darshan. No extra waiting charges for up to 6 hours.

Yes — many of our customers travel with parents or grandparents. We recommend the Innova Crysta for the smoothest ride and captain seats. The climb itself is steep — doli (palanquin) services are available at the base for those who can't manage 3,800 steps.
Yes. Several dharamshalas and a few hotels are available. We can do a one-way drop and pick-up the next morning, or drive the round trip same-day. Most pilgrims prefer same-day given how short the drive is.
